self portrait
My name is Darrell Dulalchan and I am 32 years of age. I am happily married and I am father of a three year old son. I have been in the teaching profession for approximately seven years and I have spent all these years teaching at Vishnu Boys Hindu College as a Biology and Integrated Science teacher.
I graduated the University of the West Indies in 2008 with a degree in Biology and Environmental Studies. Previous to my teaching career I was employed as an environmental lab technician. However, teaching was something I was always interested in. Therefore when the time arrived I took the opportunity instantaneously. I am a very religious person who is proud of my religion and my heritage, hence it was an honour for me to be given a teaching position at VBHC.
I am a very outgoing person and I love to have fun and meet new people. I enjoy assisting others and working had towards a goal. I decided to pursue this programme to reinvent my teaching philosophy and pedagogy as well as to become a teacher my students can be proud of. I intend to further my studies in the education field as long as possible in order to contribute to molding and developing the minds of the children of Trinidad and Tobago.
