This entry illustrates a discussion lesson that I used for my first school visit teaching practice. In this lesson a great discussion took place in which students debated their points. The role-play and the comic engaged the students totally and gave the lesson a very authentic feel. By keeping the lesson authentic the students shared their varying opinions since the situation was one which they were accustomed to. The students had some very good responses and even developed their own environmental policy. This was a great lesson that showed the power of authentic learning, role-play and discussion in teaching a lesson.
